After yet another exciting race, we have Alonso maintaining his lead of the drivers championship, albeit by a smaller margin.
Mark Webber's brilliant race victory at Silverstone has put him closer to the double world champion in the standings and the fight to the world title is on with Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Kimi Raikkonen all close behind waiting for their oppurtunity to strike.
This season has shown us that consistency will win it in the end and Alonso is doing exactly that. He lost the battle in Silverstone to ensure that he can win the war.
